I previously uploaded a post titled 'Elizabethan Quote'. The pictures from this post as well as some key words from the quote, (‘fire’, ‘heat’, ‘sun’, ‘red’ and ‘golden’) inspired me to create my own design. This is my collage, interpreting the quote.
As you can see, I was
particularly inspired by the word ‘fire’, envisioning the hair as flames. I
used ribbon in my collage as I find the movement of ribbon reflects the
movement of fire. My colour palette is definitely red, orange and yellow and I
used cardboard pieces in these colours to replicate this.
The hair style I have created here would be up and off
the face, styled into peaks. Lots of back-combing and hairspray would be
required to maintain a firm structure. I’d use coloured hairspray to get the
ascending colours of red to yellow.
